SAL#75

Not quite so impressive this time, but still respectable…

Here’s how it looked last time:

And here’s now:

Hmmm… really not that much done. But it’s a shocking month for deadlines, so I’m not being too hard on myself!

I’m one of the first to post my progress, usually, so why don’t you give it a couple of hours and then head over to see what lovely stuff everyone else is working on. This month, we are joined by two new members – welcome to the group, Carmela and Jocelyn 🙂

Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Jess, Sue, Constanze,
Debbierose, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph,
Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Catherine,
Deborah, Connie, Clare, Mary Margaret, Renee, Jenny,
Carmela and Jocelyn

The next SAL is due on 22nd February, but I’m not sure I’ll make it, bearing in mind we take possession of our new home three days before that. You never know, though. Watch this space!

That looks pretty amazing considering what’s on your plate right now!

  2. Debbierose says:

    Every stitch counts, looks fab

  3. SOOOO glad you’re “not being too hard on yourself”….. 🙂

  4. nanacathy2 says:

I think you have done well to add some stitches, given everything else you have going on.

  5. I just love the colours of this project so much, and any progress is good, heading in the right direction. Hope the packing is going well 🤗

Not so much the packing as the chucking! Luckily we don’t have to rush to exit this house before we move into the next, we have time to do a little renovating first. So I allowed myself a couple of hours with this piece – and the colour scheme got me in the mood for some block piecing in the same colours 🙂

  6. I think it is such a big flower that quite a lot can be stitched but it doesn’t always make a big impression. Once it is finished it is going to look stunning Kate, so don’t worry. Enjoying the journey is what counts.

  7. tialys says:

I’m amazed you had time to add anything at all.

    • katechiconi says:

It’s been a bit of a screamer of a weekend, but things are calming down. I’d really like to finish this, or at least put it aside for a while, but somehow I just can’t. Maybe because the colours are so right with my F2F plans!

  8. Looks fab! Good luck with the house move. You do like to keep busy don’t you?

  9. claire93 says:

considering everything else you’re up to at the moment, I’m surprised you managed to find time to xstitch! Looking great!

  10. Delicious ! Who knows how many hours of works and how much patience! I really like it ! Happy stitching !

  11. Renee says:

Your progress is quite visible! It looks lovely.

  12. I can totally see where you have worked! This piece is soo lovely and every stitch counts. Even when super busy, I like to sit for a bit to stitch. It seems to help calm my spirit and my mind.

    • katechiconi says:

I find this project needs a bit of concentration because of the counting, but that’s OK. If I’m totally manic I’ll stitch a few hexies, which requires no brainpower at all 🙂

  13. Lindashee says:

There’s still some good progress being made ! Life can get in the way sometimes, and I think it’s always a good sign to want to sneak away 1-2hours to cross stitch , it’s a good way to relax 😀

  14. lucyannluna says:

Never mind, your still moving forward.

  15. lbick says:

Even a little stitching adds up. You are making great progress.

  21. magpiesue says:

Good for you for getting any stitching done at all! And your hat box is another lovely one of course. 🙂

  22. teamwilsun says:

You’ve done a lot — despite all the rest going on! Good luck with the house move (exciting!) and remember to be kind to yourself.

  23. rutigt says:

You have stitch and how you managed to find time for that, I don´t know. Good work!!

  24. Carole says:

That’s good progress considering everything else you have on your plate at the moment 🙂

  25. Catherine says:

Great progress! Good luck with the new house. It can be an incredibly stressful time. I hope settlement and the impending move go as smoothly as possible!

    • katechiconi says:

Hopefully settlement will be trouble free, but moving in is going to be patchy; we have renovations to get done first! It’s quite a relief to retreat to the sewing room for something mindful and creative!
