Foot²Freestyle: June round-up

We’re nearly there. Two more sets of blocks to be mailed off, and then June will be complete.

Screen Shot 2015-03-14 at 7.32.54 pmThe gallery on the F²F page is looking impressive, and I think Esther will have a wonderful quilt to show at the end of her construction process – as will we all. I’m amazed that everyone has done something different, without any consultation or reference to each other (so far, anyway!), and delighted and impressed with the variety and quality of what’s been sent.

We are about to start posting July blocks – yes, some of us are that far ahead! – so it’s time for the usual warnings.

*Spoiler Alert!* Annett, your blocks are beginning to go up in the gallery. If you want the contents of your packages to remain a surprise, don’t peek!

For the rest of you, go take a look at the gallery on the F²F page, the first July blocks are up already.

I’m already so excited and hope I can resist visiting the block-site … I want to be surprised and will enjoy to open up all the envelopes…. Imagine as F2F “Miss July” I’ll receive 11 envelopes with 3 blocks each…. 11 times I will have the same procedure: take time with a cup of coffee or tea to open the envelopes and admire what the others made only for me 🙂 Just a pity I didn’t see all of Esther’s blocks yet…. I’ll try to be patient.

We haven’t seen the last of Esther’s blocks either, so we’re all in the same position. There is a way to do it, of course, once the last two are up; you just scroll down very carefully and count till you’ve seen 11 June blocks, and then go no further…

  2. As a non-participant, I was privileged to have a peek at the blocks – they are awe-inspiring.

  3. […] choices are those of the maker. All are 12″ finished, hence the name Foot Squared Freestyle. June blocks (scroll down to see them) went to Esther. July blocks are for Annett. August will be all […]

Hi Katie, when I sent you message last week, I didn’t know you had a blog. I discovered it tonight. It’s wonderful, when I get time I’ll try and read the ones from June. What I’ve read is lovely. Congratulations on winning first place. I like the tatting carrier you made. Very pretty and handy.
I see the birds you spoke of too.
    Happy quilting and sewing😄
