And now for some more deep water action!
Some bright tropical fish for the deeps of the sea. I really like this block, but I probably wouldn’t make another, as it was very fiddly, especially with post-Covid brain…
I have a Storm at Sea block waiting to be made, but that’s for another day. I’ve been notified that there are other blocks on the way, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing those 😊
I think this quilt is going to be quite spectacular!
So so gorgeous… I’m hoping to get started today 💙
You have time… glad you like it!
I didn’t see the fish at first but now that I have I can’t understand why I didn’t 🥴
Glad to hear you’re on your way to fully recovery.
I wanted them to be kind of disappearing a bit, like an illusion of fish in a swirl of water. So, job done, I guess?
They are beautiful – I love the bubbly water and the way some of the fish blend in, such good camouflage!
I’m so glad the plan worked! Failing neon colours and iridescence, this was the best i could do to emulate tropical fish without being too garish.
That was quite the surprise pattern. So very fun. I have that kind of brain all the time so you are doing quite well. I don’t like fiddly either but so many patterns look easy and turn out otherwise.
My first instinct was to make them really colourful, but that wouldn’t be in the spirit of the quilt, so it was fun choosing fabrics that told the colour story but still were ‘tropical’ enough.
I love it! LOVE! LOVE IT!! You always make quilts look so ease—- But I know different.
I’m so glad you like it!
Love these fishies! Colorful, without being too colorful!
Exactly so. I’m contemplating giving them a little glittery eye each…
Perfect!
Fish! I’ve never seen quilted fish. Good to see the evidence that you’re feeling better.
A first time for everything. I’m mostly back on form except for the wicked cough hanging on.
That block is gorgeous! I love the fish and the colors and fabrics are perfect. Hugs,
Thank you! I’m pleased with it (so long as I don’t look too carefully at some of the points!).
Well done you! I’m so glad you are feeling well enough to go fishing. 😉
It took me about twice as long as it should on account of foggy Covid-brain, but hopefully that will pass.
I’m glad to hear you’re on the mend, Kate. I like the fish, though it’s a shame it was fiddly. You’ve got it sorted, anyway.
It got easier as I went along 😊
really gorgeous!
Thanks! Angling the fins made it a bit more complicated than it could have been, but I do think it adds more interest.
Love the fish, so clever.
And fun, once I got my covid-lame head around it!
Very nice!
Glad you like it!
I am very much looking forward to the end product, this block looks stunning !!!
More blocks are coming in all the time, and each one is just wonderful.
I admire you all, I just wouldn’t know how to begin making a block.
That’s OK, we’re very happy to receive encouragement instead!
