TWRD: the blocks start arriving

We’ve just had the first three sets:

From Kjerstin:

From Robin

From Vera

Aren’t they amazing? I especially love Robin’s meticulously appliquéd sea turtles and dolphins!

I think this is going to be the most amazing quilt, given the variety and imagination I’ve seen in the blocks so far. If I get more than I need it may be a challenge to finalise the layout.

More are on the way, so there’ll be some more eye candy soon.

  5. I love the differences in imagination and method, but unified by thoughtfulness, colour, and overall theme. It’s going to be so mysterious and wonderful.

I think some of the blocks are going to place themselves, and others may need some thought, but they’ll all find a home. I may actually need to make this quilt a little bigger than usual to make it all work…

  9. OMG, these are fabulous. Especially the turtles n fish.

I think you’ve come up with an even more inspirational theme than usual this year. So sorry I couldn’t commit to it this time but I’ll be watching the progress avidly.
