This is almost the last of my orphan blocks.
I thought a set of three table mats might be nice… It uses up blocks, bits and pieces of fabric and odd lengths of 2½ inch fabric strips, and you finish with something pretty and useful. More Days for Girls prizes.
Two more mats to go, and then I must finish assembling the top of the Tyger quilt. It’s been a bit stalled while I tried to put some prize material together, but it’s past time to get that bit done, sandwich and then quilt the thing.
I’m going to need the space on my design wall.
gorgeous fabrics ^^
I know! Too pretty to leave languishing in the cupboard. Someone needs to enjoy them.
🥰
I feel a new project winging it’s way to the wall. Love those table mats and the orphan blocks. One looks a bit like a crazy quilt? Great colors.
I think the colours will be popular… Yes, there’s another big project in the pipeline. I’ll need the space for the latest Ovarian Cancer raffle quilt, ‘Can You Teal the Love?’, so I need to hurry up and get Tyger finished!
Don’t things look so pretty all tied with a bow? I love the way the batik-y colours fade and blurr.
So much nicer than just piled, it makes it gift-y somehow, even if that’s just a fabric offcut. And yes, batiks are marvellous for subtle colours and colour shifts. My favourite!
And it will be lovely to have a coordinated set of table mats, whoever the lucky recipient is!
Looks so much nicer than just random things under pots, right?
Gorgeous, Kate. You make it look easy.
It is, fairly, with practice. One more batch, and I can get on to other things for a while. I’m looking forward to that!
Gorgeous – as always!
Thanks! But I’m looking forward to something different for a while.
Batiks always look lush and these are darling
I agree, I love them. Thanks!
They’re gorgeous, love the batiks!
My favourites!
