Scrappy Book Bag #2

I got inspired by the last one.

I have several blocks left over from making the Twilight quilt, and two of them seemed to go together nicely, together with a nice navy polka dot I have left over from another project. I’ve lined it with the blue and white print which I used for the backing on my Anemone quilt.

It’s just a simple book bag style with a squared-off base and rather longer handles than the previous one. I’ve put a single smallish pocket on the inside. It’s also a bit bigger, and I shall use it for shopping, since it can hold a lot of stuff.

And yes, I’m keeping this one for myself! 😊

Definitely a keeper. I’ll have to take a look at my box of orphan blocks and see what’s in there.

  3. This one is just too pretty to pass on. Good for you for keeping one for yourself. Love how it turned out.

There’s a set of 6 of the ‘window’ blocks from the Twilight quilt I haven’t used, and I’m thinking place mats, but I don’t use them much, so I reckon those will go for DfG prizes, but this one was always going to be mine!

I’ll echo everyone else and say that I wouldn’t be giving this bag away either. 😉 As soon as I scrolled down and saw the polka-dot handles, I got a huge smile on my face. That is one happy fabric! 😀

As my mom would always say, “Use it in good health!” 💜💙

Those colours are stunning! You must have something very special up your sleeve for Scrap Happy Day if this is an extra! I am glad you are keeping something for yourself – you are so generous but sometimes we need to be nice to ourselves.
