I thought I’d better keep up with this one. There’s a long way to go…
Back to the usual format of flower contrasting with leaves. This is block 20. I have almost none of the left hand leaf fabric, which I’m sad about, as I love it. I have the remainder of a 25cm length of width of fabric of the one on the right, a Martha Negley print I love but which I’ve been unable to find a use for until now. I’ve had it for about 6 or 7 years.
It’s a very light-coloured block overall, and I think I’ll have to make a few more like this or it’ll stick out like a sore thumb when placed amongst all the others in their saturated-colour glory.
Bee, Myself and I is a forum for ‘selfish sewing’; any stitchery which is purely for pleasure and not to a deadline or for anyone else. The original concept belongs to Carla of Granny Maud’s Girl. See you next month, hopefully!
Beautiful 🤩
I like the acid green and lilac contrast.
The pale flower block is nice – some companions would be a nice way to sprinkle a balance in the quilted garden.
Exactly what I thought 🙂
Lovely! 💚
Thank you!
I like the little stripey stem 🙂
It’s like a nice little candy cane, isn’t it?
Mwah – gorgeous
I really like this one too, a nice restful one compared with the other, more colourful versions.
Such a beautiful colorful block…yes a few more please 🙂
Coming up! I was worried the paler colours wouldn’t stand out well against the cream background, but it’s fine.
It’s lovely. Obviously a few more like it will add sparkle to the quilt. 🙂
Yes, and I think it may need it, because once assembled the dark grey will be quite powerful.
Looking Good.
Thanks, I really like this one.
I like that block! I always wish I had known how much I would like some fabrics when I purchased them so I could have bought more than I did! For some reason that favorite status only comes later.
I feel much the same! There are pieces of fabric where I have hoarded the last square inch to use in a scrappy block, and others that have lain in a box unused because while I love the design, it doesn’t work with anything I make.
We have very different tastes in colors as you well know but somehow I still love what you do with those colors. You make them delightful to all eyes. I’m sorry you are running out of your favorite fabric for these. I hate when that happens too. Hope you are doing well. Still behind here and will catch up soon. Hugs.
Don’t worry, I still have plenty of bits of loveliness in my collection, it’s just that the pieces are getting smaller! I’m doing really well, thank you, the team are pleased with my progress – and my compliance!
I love this one!!
Me too 🙂
