Better late than never, I say…
By which I mean that I finally got round to pressing and photographing these lovelies. They’ve been sitting on my work table at the old house, and I kept forgetting to do it when I was over there packing boxes.
They were made for me by Nanette for my F²F³ month, and are the last but one set. I was finally reminded by poor Nanette’s latest blog post, in which she shows her ScrapHappy work, but also tells us that she’s had dengue fever, very nasty, very tiring and you feel just horrible. So everyone please send Nanette lots of comforting, healing and positive thoughts.
She attached little notes to two of them to explain where the block design came from, and if you click on the photos you can read what she’s written. The third one, without a note, is Anvil, one of her favourite blocks. I really love all three of them, the colours are beautiful and delicate, and they will work so well with all the others.
Thank you, Nanette, and may you recover quickly and return to health and full creativity very soon.
Healing hugs to her xxx
Yes indeed. She does so much for other people, and it’s very hard to be struck down like that when you’re on your own.
All my well wishes are with her and all my positive vibes.. ❤️
They are beautiful! I thought Nanette had stopped blogging, I must go by and visit her.
Not stopped, but she doesn’t post as often as she used to. Poor girl, she has been so unwell…
Love the butterfly especially. I had to look up dengue fever when Nanette posted yesterday but it sounds horrible.
It’s a danger for us in the tropics, to the point that at certain times of year they have TV ads to warn you not to give mozzies standing water to breed in.
I especially love the butterfly. Hoping she is better soon.
Yes, I think that’s one of my favourites of the whole month 🙂 I think she has friends looking after her, but it’s still a grim thing to go through by yourself, so I’m hoping she feels all the good wishes beaming towards her…
Beautiful blocks, I hope she is feeling better soon.
They are, and I hope she is too.
You can add my good thoughts for her to the pile. I looked it up as I hadn’t heard of it before and it sounds like a mean virus. ;( The blocks are stunning! Take care you don’t wear yourself out so much you come down with something as well.
Oh, that would be the cherry on the cake, wouldn’t it? But at least I wouldn’t have to wobble down a flight of stairs to get to the kitchen any more 🙂 I’m thinking Nanette will be getting better soon, with the stream of positive thoughts and good wishes heading her way. And yes, those blocks are perfectly beautiful.
Please let her know that I am sending healing thoughts to her! I love those colors!
Oh, so do I! And I’ll be sending her an email soon and telling her that loads of people are wishing her better.
Together will will help!
With all the good thoughts, she’ll be up and tap-dancing in no time 🙂
Lovely work, and I hope she feels better soon–
I hope so too, after all that hard work.
I shall send Nanette a note, thanks for letting us know! The blocks are just beautiful, the butterfly is my personal favorite!
I agree about the butterfly! But all three blocks are beautiful, and her fabric choices are, as always, spot on!
Beautiful, beautiful blocks!!!
Yes, they’re really, really lovely, perfect colours.
