SAL 65: No stitch, no time…

Not quite how the proverb goes, but very expressive of the situation around here.

Not a progress shot…

I’d planned to get a bit of stitching done over the past few days, but virtually everything I touched this week took about three times longer than expected, and some-thing had to give. Sadly, it was my embroidery 😦

Having said that, everyone else in the Stitch Along will have some-thing lovely to show you, so nip over there and take a look.  Here are the links:

I’ll be back on 29th July, hopefully with some actual progress to show!

We all have times when life gets in the way 🙂

Life happens! I hope you’re ok.

  3. No problem at all as long as you enjoy the things you have to make time for.

Just look at your lovely newly spiffed bathroom (I hope anyway!) and know that the flowers will wait for you. 😊

Sometimes other things have to take priority but at least you’ll have a lovely bathroom to show for it 🙂

well we can’t do everything all at once, can we? Enjoy your bathroom work.

  7. Every week is like that for me. ;( I’m always on overwhelm. You’ll get back to it in the right time. You want to enjoy the process not just the completion. 😉

I now how this is, I’m in the same boat. A little stitching is better none, though!

Next time, once I’ve had a chance to put the paintbrushes away. Oh, my aching back…

I’ve actually considered making my other project the SAL to be updated on, but what if I magically have the means to work on the SAL project? It’s like borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.

  9. Our stitching may seem important to us but in the scheme of things I guess it doesn’t rate too highly and life gives us more important things to deal with. Never mind the stitching will wait patiently until you are ready to sit and relax again.

Like it or not, at least you gave it good try!

Such a pest when there just isn’t enough time.

There is more in my creative mind then I have time for in this life time I’m sure!!! I’m guessing it will be the same for others too! I am so going to have to let go!

  13. Can’t keep all the balls in the air at the same time, my friend 🙂

I hate it when things take longer then I think they should and get in the way of fun time. 😀. Hopefully things are working out better and you’ll get some stitching in soon.

I’m sure you’re back at your needle(s) now! Summer somehow always gets so busy, even with the longer days!

And down here in the Southern Hemisphere, we’re in the middle of winter. I’m in the tropics, and winter (or the Dry) is the time of year when we fling open our doors and windows, spring clean and let in the sun – which isn’t too hot, for a change! I’ll hope to find time in my cleaning schedule to get some stitching done for the next SAL.
