SAL 21: the corner filled

It’s that time again already!

I’ve been busy on my Cloths of Heaven quilt these last few weeks, but I’ve managed to find time for stitching too.

Here’s where we were before:

And here’s where we are now, a fraction over a quarter of the way through. I got a good bit done this time!

As always, it’s worth your while visiting the other SAL stitchers. Don’t forget about the difference in time zones; if you’re seeing me first, you may need to drop in to theirs a bit later to give them a chance to get their posts up.

A beautiful little sampler. Are you going to embroider your name and the date at the bottom as people used to do?

  3. Carole says:

Lovely progress, considering how busy you’ve been with other things. I’d definitely consider adding initials and date to it, just to personalise it a little.

When do you have time to do all your work?!!

  5. Excellent progress! Housework? What’s that? I do have an iron but it’s reserved for patchwork 😉

When you live in the tropics there are a few *essential* jobs: sweeping and dusting (doors and windows always open), LOTS of laundry (more than one set of clothing a day), and keeping things mildew free (v. high humidity). The rest can go hang in favour of stitching!

Ooh! That is coming on very well, and yes do sign & date it!

  7. pattisj says:

    That makes a nice addition.

I like to imagine you restfully but productively stitching as the ladies of old did to while away an hour or two 🙂

Now that’s a lot of progress!
