Hello, Kate! Had some trouble tracking you down – hope I am on site!! November last year you made some very sympathetic comments re our Southern Tablelands’ bushfires I really appreciated! Said this was your first season in northern Queensland. Remember saying that we should hold fingers and toes crossed! Have just seen the news, and, unexpectedly, I truly am holding my breath for you for the next few days – may the blessings of all Higher Powers be with you and I shall be thinking and hoping!! And so late in the season – botheration . . . I hope nought else!!!! Big hug . . . .

Whatever fingers and toes you have crossed have been effective, because the two of us are the other side of the world until Wednesday next week! We had a narrow escape in March, and have been observing the developments at home with some concern, but left the house well prepared – except for my poor fruit trees. We shall see what develops, and indeed, whether we’ll get home on schedule! Thank you so much for your good wishes. Kate x

Great to read the news and so hope you will get back to a home more or less in one piece.! Am still holding fingers crossed! See you at Celi’s when you are on line again 🙂 !

Probably Thursday next week; we leave on Monday and are travelling for 3 days 😦

Just so! What the pictures don’t show is the lushness of the foliage and the wonderful scents. Whenever I get back to the island, I’ll definitely be going there again.
