I can’t imagine whole streets painted in these beautiful bright colours! It must be wonderful. There is something about the tropics intensifying colours. I know I have bought clothes in bright colours that look fabulous in the Tropics, only to bring them home and find that they don’t mix with Melbourne Black very well at all! Enjoy every moment of your trip.

Luckily I live in the tropics, so anything brightly coloured I bring home will fit right in. I no longer have much Melbourne black – a suit or two at the back of the wardrobe is the only souvenir of working there for 5 years. I’m having such a good time, I can’t tell you!

Now that winter is of the way, all the black has appeared on Melbourne steets. :). It is obvious from your photos that you are having a grand time. Hope to see lots more of them.

Not a speck of black to be seen except at funerals. I so love the colour of life here; everything from the sunset to tiny glittering hummingbirds with metallic green breasts. But at 21 miles long and 14 wide I’m finding it a bit small after the open spaces of home.

Wow! You couldn’t help but go around with a smile on your face could you? Hope you are having a great time.

Love those colours! Instant feel of being abroad and holidays!

  4. Looks like you are having a ‘brilliant’ time!
